We are looking for a Payments and Risk Team Leader to join our growing team.

THE ROLE:

As a key member of the payments function, you will:

• Lead and support a team of analysts, ensuring that customer deposits and withdrawals are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Uphold the highest standards of compliance and service.
• Report to the Head of Payments and Risk.
• Take ownership of fraud prevention, payment operations, and risk management.
• Proactively anticipate issues and implement solutions that minimize exposure while protecting both our business and our players.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Lead and mentor a team of Payments and Risk Analysts, ensuring operational excellence and professional development.
• Oversee daily payment processing, fraud detection, risk monitoring, and AML compliance activities, ensuring timely and accurate handling of transactions.
• Coordinate investigations into suspicious activity, escalations, or complex cases, ensuring appropriate action is taken in line with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Provide guidance and decision-making support on account blocks, transaction acceptance, SARs submissions, and other escalations.
• Monitor and improve fraud detection tools, payment systems, and risk procedures, proactively suggesting and implementing improvements.
• Manage workload allocation and performance monitoring within the team, ensuring KPIs and SLAs are consistently met.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks (including AML, KYC, and responsible gaming obligations) across all payment and risk-related processes.
• Liaise with Customer Services, Compliance, and other departments to resolve issues, support customers, and drive operational efficiency.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging fraud methods, payment innovations, and regulatory changes, ensuring the business stays one step ahead.
• Produce reporting and analysis for senior management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.

WHO ARE YOU?

• You bring 2+ years’ experience in payments, fraud, or risk management, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role within the iGaming industry.
• Strong understanding of fraud detection, AML processes, and payment operations.
• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop team members.
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong knowledge of KYC, CDD/EDD, and regulatory requirements across different jurisdictions.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Proactive mindset with a drive to improve tools, processes, and workflows.
• Flexible and adaptable, comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment (including occasional shifts or weekend coverage if required).
